about

“Voices of Many”
cd-Radon -2001

The first official album of Sikhara, was also the final record completed in Radon Studio. After making several releases distributed throughout the home-taper network and at shows, the original line-up of Scott Nydegger/Paul Beauchamp/Sam Lohman delivered the definitive form of the sound they had crafted over the first year of Sikhara’s existence. Synth and machine driven, with sparse toms and electronic drums, it features the sample based chantings that would become their form of “vocals”.
Voices of Many is the culmination of many hours in Radon Studio, the creation of Sikhara’s identity and chemistry between artists, and a fitting tribute to Exuma, the voodoo themed artists who offered much inspiration and whose song, “Obeah Man” the title is take from.

or alternately chaotic and violent, but memorable for those
who witnessed the spectacles.
